Maid to Order

Are you looking for an easier way to shop for bridesmaid dresses? There is a hot new website called Weddington Way, where you can shop by style, price, theme, length, designer, neckline, and/or fabrics.

When you find something you like, you can save it to your favorites and then send it to your bridesmaids. By sending your bridesmaids invitations not only can they view your favorite dresses, but they can also rank them, comment on what they like and don't like about them, and order on the spot based on detailed measurements (they carry up to size 28). You can even order swatches for $5 each.

The only hitch,  take ten to fourteen weeks to arrive, so be sure to order them well in advance!

Music to my ears

Still looking for a wedding band?
I LOVE the Source and they have a showcase Wednesday December 14th at 6:30pm.
Stop by The Willard Hotel's Pierce Room and enjoy a cocktail while you check out their sound.  Cocktails and music, sounds great to me!

Not exactly understated

I would typically not describe our weddings as extravagant, but once in a while we have a bride who embraces the more is more mentality. This wedding past May was incredible! Check out this sneak peak.

With Amaryllis creating the unbelievable floral and Patricia Lyons taking the photos it should be no surprise that this wedding might be in a glossy magazine sometime soon...

A Black Tie Affair

I know your groom probably doesn't read this blog, but you may want to forward this post along to him, especially if he is planning on doning a tux for the big day! When it comes to tuxedos, I've found that many grooms don't even know where to begin. So if your man is looking to purchase a tux, Brooks Brothers is a great place to start. They carry a variety of jacket options as well as all the pieces of a great tux!

While a single breasted jacket is the most formal option, Joseph A. Bank offers many different style options for your groom to choose from. From peaked lapel to shawl collar, every groom is sure to find exactly what they are looking for. Neiman Marcus also offers a variety of (higher-end) options, all available for purchase in stores.

If your groom is still looking for more tips and hints about tuxedo purchases check out this great Black Tie Guide that explains every small detail of a tuxedo from formal etiquette to lapel designs.  He will look so dapper, you may not even recognize him!

All the small things

In the grand scheme of a wedding, sometimes it's the tiniest of details that really catch your eye. As a planner, I'm in love with the small things, like these adorable straws from Sugar Diva . They add such a fun and whimsical touch to any signature cocktail!

While you're obsessing over those cute ideas, head over to garnish, a recent online find that specializes in adorable packaging ideas. I particularly love their bakery twine that could be used for anything from invitations to favors! So take a moment to pause from the big picture and let yourself get lost in the details...
